| hmmmmm...... |
I totally got moved!
Changes
came as a surprise this time! So I packed up all my bags and said "bye"
to a few people and then I was GONE! crazy right? =)
So I totally went back to Belloto! Close to Liahona, my old ward. It's called Estero Viejo! or Old stream bed, I think.
So I got there and I already knew a bunch of people!! I knew the
momita and everything! I had previously done various interchanges
there!
So, I'm training a different kid now! I have a "step
son!" haha! His name is Elder Leavitt! He's from Washington and he works
so hard! So when I got here we just worked so hard and visited so many
people. Yesterday, I presented myself in church! I shared a part of a
talk from the Liahona (cause we don't have the Ensign here) about
families and it was sweeet! Everyone felt the spirit!! I was just - hey,
take advantage of the time you have with your family right now because
you never know when you are going to be away from them for a long time. SO there are 300 members in my
ward and only 60 are going to church! ha Crazy right? But get this- all
the people that were baptized in the last year are still active and
going to church! We also have alot of returned missionaries that came back
and just stopped serving. So
I'm going to blow their minds with simple doctrine and they´ll come
back. There are only 3 kids in the ward. SO when I got here I felt like
I had a choice: have a bad attitude and complain.... or
to just love it, and to have pure love with everyone and to only
complain a little bit,
haha... so I've totally chosen to just love everything and complain only a little bit! haha
So here's a story- my Chilean kid that I was training in Valpo, was really,
really sad when I left. He wrote in my book "sorry" over and over again
that he gave me a hard time and told me that he still remembers all the
good advice I gave him and he really values everything I said, and he
really looks up to me. I felt like I really did have a rebellious kid!
And I raised him and taught him all I could and in the end he turned out
all right! haha The mission is like a whole lifetime in 2 years!! So
now I'm teaching my new kid all I know, and I am enjoying teaching him
Spanish.
SO I have previously known the ward mission lider in my ward and he
is puro poder!! He's 21 and just got off his mission and he told me,
"Elder, I want you to be persistent with me and make me work harder than
I ever have!" que seamos locos he said.. haha!
So we went out and taught with him that day and I just have so much
animo! I am just so full of energy!
| A Happy Elder!!! |
So other cooool story- there is like a group of skateboarders in
front of our house! Imma totally going out one day and take a picture
with um! Okay, so Saturday night, this sister gave me bread and some
avocados cause I didn't have any food in the apartment...so I put it all in my bag and then on the way
home, I find one of those skater kids and I see that he left his board
for a second. So I ran up and started skating!! haha Note that I had my
backpack on and a Book of Mormon in my hand. So I busted a sick
heelflip and then fell off into the dirt-right onto my back pack... Ha!
totally exploded the avocados in my backpack and ruined it. haha We
learn from experience right? Now I'm really hungry right now. haha
