Miracles and Fire

Well, I'm startin to miss you all so much it hurts ma insides!

Well, this week was Krazy!! Miracles are just happening so much that I can't get it all in my journal!!

So this week,  a cool story... so we were teaching this lady outside with her kid that's in a wheelchair.  We taught her the first lesson and we were teaching so good switching off and puttin into practice what we had learned in our studies.  So she accepted to be baptized in Octubre and then we invited her to read the Book of Mormon to find out if it was true!  She didn't really want to read and so we were just like explaining the importancia of the Book of Mormon and then my comp went silent... and then all of a sudden he's promising this lady that if she really reads the book and prays to know it's true with real intent, her kid will be able to stand up again.  !!! crazy right? I just sat in my chair with nothing to say! and I really felt that it was true! So Lucy, I think, really took it to heart and is going to do it!! yipee. ha

My companion is pure power.

So we're working really hard to do street contacts and talk to people at their doors and everything. I'm just so used to doing the whole contact that it has been hard for me to go quiet and have my comp do it, and most the time he gets really nervous.

   Oh, the other morning we went out in the center of Valpo and tried to talk to people. Oh boy, every person was so rude and they just called us rude names and avoided us. One guy I walked up to and tried to shake his hand, he literally got up and ran the other direction. haha I laughed so hard, but my compañion got really disanimated and didn't wanna talk to anyone else.

   So the 18 of September was Independence Day in Chile.  We had a huge barbecue and I ate so much meat!! To start out, they passed out shish-kabobs and choripan and then just so much other good foods!! And then we had a sweet activity in the del barrio. 

So congrats to Jason Goodell!!!! How did you get girls to go help you with your eagle project and like dig in the dirt? haha

I love grandpa and his watch that he gave me! haha So it's so cool that you guys heard Elder Packer and Elder Perry at the temple dedication! thatsss sweeeet!!!!

Hey!

WELL this week was sweet...We saw some crazy stuff this
week. So one morning were were climbin up the hill on foot and all of a
sudden we hear all this screaming and we see smoke. so my companion, Elder
Guerra, was a fire fighter before the mission. So he just starts running up
the hill towards it.  So I was dying! And I was recording the video of me
running up the hill and then the huge fire we saw.  3 houses burnt down.
I had recently talked to one of the ladies that had her house burn down and 

invited her to be baptized. She said no because she was Catholic.
Well anyways her house burnt down and it took the next 2 houses down with
it. SO one of the police guys came over to me and asked me if I could send him
all the pictures that I took of the fire, ha sweeet!! and you can see in one that
the police guy is talkin to the news camera, the uniform is Green here.

SO yesterday, me and my comp were just walking down to a house to give a
member an invite to General Conference, and all of a sudden... I stopped
to get the invite out of my bag and a guy in a random house in front of us walks out,
and he looks at me and it was kind of awkward and I was just like
"hola!" and he was just like "can I help you? and I was just like
"uhhh... no?" and he asks me, "well then why did you knock on my door? !!" We
hadn't even touched the door or anything.  So the spirit was just like
"TALK TO HIM!" ha! So I obeyed.  We ended up talkin to him a while and he
was totally a member!  He's from a part-member family! So now we're going to
baptize his whole family. I love just being guided by the Spirit. You just
can't wonder if it's from the Spirit, or if it's your own mind, you just gotta
go for it.

Okay so we've been workin with this kid.  I want
him to go on the mission so bad! So we help him out and pray for him every
day and he hasn't been to church for over a year, and the ward hasn't
really ever fellowshipped him...
