Okay I'm on fire right now!
we're getting so many people to teach...
With my new companion I think we got the ward all excited and now they're just throwing us people to teach!
'cause yesterday was the best day ever in church! Okay, so we found a nice family last week from a future that we had, the mom let us in and we taught um the restoration! so we totally had a strategy to get um to church, too!
We were like "Hey, can we come by in the morning on Sunday to make pancakes?".. so we could help um get ready for church! genius!! So everything worked out, we got to church after the opening prayer so the teenage girl was all scared to go in, but we dragged her in. So we had really boring talks and their little kid fell asleep right by me. Ha! but afterward the whole ward came up and talked to them all. So they got fellowshipped really fast and they showed um were to go for class! SO the mom came into the class the we had to teach. "principios basicos de la iglesia", I totally taught the fall of Adam and Eve. It got too hard so my comp had to come up and help me, but yeah I had fun. There were like 8 full grown adults that spoke Spanish perfectly and they were getting taught by a punk little gringo missionary!! haha I have the power! SO this family is so baptisable. We invited them to be baptized last night and all was well.
Last night also the lights went out in all of Belloto! Apparently there was a huge fire and it was takin out houses and transformer boxes, so we taught the family with a little Lamp! The dad took us home in his nice white sedan, it has been so long since I've sat in a car that wasn't a taxi.
So I did some Math and found out the Gasoline is 5.00 a gallon here! crazy right? Most people don't even own cars.
So we're teaching like 6 teenage girls... this is not my doing. So we took pictures with the family that came and then just the other investigator that we had show up. So I gotta nice picture of me in Estero Viejo! with my district leader Elder Gasik! He's from Sandy, Utah. Estero Viejo is above my area just a mile! My old companion Elder Anaya took me there once to see all his converts and so I know a bunch of the members. Then I got the picture of me and my comp with the famous Carlitos! We take him everywhere to help teach with us cause he's getting ready to go on a mission.
Okay so I was knockin doors with Elder Gasik and this huge scary guy that was mad opened the door! haha and Elder Gasik started stuttering and had really bad Spanish. hah So I had to take over and the guy was like 'you probably speak better than him, so I'm goin to talk to you'. haha It was a nice compliment, (he was just huge!) The funnest part about knockin doors is that you have no idea who is going to open the door- it could be the nicest guy in the world or someone who's going to yell at you and swear.
So we have an investigator who's covered in tattoos of Elvis and her husband is in a band, and I totally played with um! I didn't know how to play Elvis tho, but they were still impressed.
