Belloto-Inferno!!! January 9, 2012

So i'm living in the replica of the house that Anne Frank hid from the nazi´s.  And i already fell down the flight of midget stairs! So I have a CHilean companion named Elder Fredes. He´s really quiet and I can't hear him when he talks. I'm in Belloto! the hottest place in the mission so far! I just study all morning and sweat drips on my notes and then we go out and walk all day in the sun! I was really kind of mad when i first got here, cause it's like a dump and the zone thinks its a punishment to be in Belloto.  But then I remembered! I love when terrible things happen to me! haha my journal entries get so much better!!!

So the other day we ate lunch at a members house like we do every day and my companion shared the scripture and the Dad said something interesting... he said i'm mad at someone in the ward so that's why i'm not going to church right now-but i'm not mad at God.  So I just sat back and was all like What?! my comp wanted to go on with a random scripture, but i was just like- okay everyone Stop! haha I slowly just explained why we go to church, why we have to clean ourselves with the sacrament every Sunday! I described it like my shirt... if i don't wash my shirt for one week, how's my shirt going to be? dirty right? what if i don't wash my shirt for 2-3 weeks? or a month? what's my shirt going to look like? this is why we need to go to church.  And i said Who cares who else is in the church? you're going for you own salvation. And then the testimony came!! but it was so cool because i had no idea what i said and then i was done and the mom was all crying and they committed to go to church! and they totally did. And that's how i deal with inactive people!!!

so the other day i noticed that i use words that i don't even know the meaning of... haha i just hear it on the street and it just flows into my contacts.  So we're working with one lady, she´s like from the ghetto and talks so slow and slurred. I couldn't understand anyone this week. I almost was in a spiral of despair! but hey... best news ever!!! i live with 2 other missionaries and Bam! one of them is my MTC comp! elder King!! its so Cooll! we can talk about Mtc stuff!

So I have a confession to make, my favorite food right now is this
Shredded lettuce with an avacado on top with seasoning salt and tomatoes! and sometimes they stick a spoonful of tuna on it!! hahaa

SO every morning we teach Justin Bieber! here's a picture! and a picture of how dry and terrible the earth is in my sector.

so basically on Tuesday i got dropped off in Belloto by my Chilean family (Yavarra's) and just said goodbye! it was so sad!! i basically just miss Elder Beck!
