okay... so do you all realize that I went on stage and did rappin' in Spanish? in front of my ward? with reggatone? haha okay! just making sure you understand how gnarly it was!!!
This week I totally got a new companion! Elder Anaya se fue a la casa! So I'm with Elder Fowler. He's a kid from Salt Lake, he reminds me of my older brother Sean. He went to the U and likes to talk about Politics....and he hates Glenn Beck. Elder Anaya told me to not bring up gay marriage or animal rights. But hey, we get along pretty good. He just works so hard and we stand out in the sun all day (sometimes I murmur) I'm like the most tan I have been in my whole life.
This last week we had no investigators and it was really a trial of my faith, sometimes I get really discouraged for that day and then 'Boom' we find someone so randomly and teach um the restoration, oh and then I'm like terrible at teaching so then my happiness goes away again... haha so I pretty much speak Spanish if I'm relaxed and not in a rush. I will probably come back and just speak Spanish (chilean spanish) really fast. So I had to show Elder Fowler around my area and be the boss pretty much, introduce him to all the people we teach.
So the other day we knocked Doors for 3 hours, it was serioulsy the only thing left to do to find people, we met this random kid and asked if we could come in and teach him! he was Catholic but he was all like "my religion is dumb they dont do anything right" haha so we explained to him that after the death of the 12 apostols and Jesus Christ, the authority was gone. So man tried to keep interpretting the bible and the ordinances and just did weird things to the gospel of Jesus Christ. They did their own things that they wanted to do, and made the gospel so complicated! ha but really the true gospel of Jesus Christ is so simple. Seriously everyone I talk to is so fed up with all the dumb religions there are that they don't even wanna hear ours, they like give up on finding the truth, or say well... all the gospels are true just gotta find your own way to God. So people here make my brain hurt, especially their mixed up ideas (in spanish)
But just know I'm struggling and some days its super hard and I take so much Crap. So don't think I got my feet up sippin iced tea in Chile!! I'm not training anymore so I'm like a missionary now, and I live with crazy Zone leaders who I give a hard time and I tease um. Elder Anaya taught me how to tease people in Spanish.
