So I love interchanges! I gotta spend another night with my district leader Elder Purnell from Canada! We went and taught a little kid from Haite! He spoke Haitian,French and Spanish! He was only 12 years old!I experienced my first earthquake when I was studying with my companion in the morning! haha It was really weird- it shook the building really fast and we were kneeling and praying at the time it hit. So there should be a big one come coming up! I'm so prepared.
Roberto, one of my investigators, came to conferencia general with us! I have truly seen him start out with no faith or anything, to now where he has hope and faith and light in his eyes! Last night I really saw it! finally!! That's why I'm in Chile! BUENA!
So, I could continue to write about all the knife pulling experiences & the tear gas & crazy things people throw at us (the other day some guy threw a rock! seriously) fun stuff happens every day, but i feel impressed to call all of you unto repentance! haha!
Seriously, after being spiritually fed in conferencia, I have come to know my purpose in this life more than ever. My favorite quote- "what are you doing today to prepare to meet God?" haha i love it! So I ran home and prayed for forgiveness of the thoughts I had that day of non-important things and for failing to open my mouth to people. I love repenting. I love changing and I love inviting more happiness to flow into my life, and inviting others to do so also. Me and my companion ask everyone "what is the most important thing in this life?" Most people give really bad answers! or just really far from what is the most important thing. Inés told us that her health was the most important thing. Although our health is super important, why do we need health? When we all must unavoidably leave this life,,,, what is the most important thing? It is having the espiritu santo. Holy Ghost. And in the next life- Eternal Life. That is why we are here right? to prepare for that gift, because not all will receive it. God himself has told us in the Old Testament and the New Testament. But I'm trying really hard to love the people who hate you! If you write me I'll read it! But it takes a whole month for some letters to get to me! dear elders are alot faster. I haven't figured out how to send letters home- all I can do is email. SO when you send stuff the post office people open it up and look in it and usually take stuff they like! lame right? My zone leaders are not that cool at givin us mail cause they have to go clear down to Vina on the coast to get it.
haha I need random cooking ideas like Holly's cake baking idea! ha cause it's all up to me what I eat! So brown sugar
is amazing and I miss it, the sugar here is not even the same!
SO random fact, mine and Jake's companions know each other! They are both from Orem!
So the weird picture with all the dogs- that's how many dogs follow us and get in our faces all day! Those dogs were behind us when all the power went out in Chile and we had to run home cause it was dangerous!!!
Shout out to Steven! Going to the New York New York Chinese speaking! that's just crazy, you're a better man than I !!
I miss all ya'll and I miss talking English (my slang) haha!
