I survived! I only had to cry a little! haha My new zone, companion, roommates, apartment, and área is just amazing! I'm like in a different country! Everything is alot cleaner here. Most people have tons of money and our lunches are even bigger here. None of you can comprehend how much I eat for lunch here. The other day my face felt swollen because I ate so much!
So I came to a really, really slow area. The president said it was a testing area to see if they still want missionaries there. haha So me and my companion walk around and talk to everyone all day. So there's no bathrooms here it seems like and people just find a pole and seriously go pee right in the street!!
So the craziest experience of my mission was on Saturday!! It was the celebration of the missionaries being in Chile for 50 years! I gotta go clear out to Santiago and be with over 200 missionaries! I saw all of my district from the MTC and it seriously was like a High School reunion! except I loved everyone! haha so yeah- just too much to tell...about the program itself- okay so get this, the Chileans are descendants of the Lamanites in the Book of Mormon. They had 2000 Lamanites come out onto the field dressed as the Stripling Warriors and dance. They had Jesus descend on the Mayan Pyramid and the children got to come up and touch his hands! They had the First Vision and pioneers crossing the plain, like actin it out on a huge field- like in a Fútbol stadium.

So in Valparaíso I had to say 'bye to my ward mission leader! He really liked me and didn't want me to go at all!!! His name was Gaston! He taught me all the Chilean Slang! Over 35 different words!!
In church I got up to introduce myself and I didn't say where I was from, and I just stuttered. haha Then everyone made fun of me. (good thing I don't understand anyone) SO I just smiled and laughed.

Okay so in my Ward (area) "Marga Marga" we have 1 investigator. Se llama Cristan! He totally speaks in ENGLISH! But get this- I tried to teach in English and it was so hard and I couldn't do anything! haha So I'm pretty much a big pile of worthless. He worked on a cruise ship as a waiter, so I told him to get me a job hook up in 2 years. Anyways, his whole family are menos activos and he actually reads EL libro de Mormón, NO ONE EVER READS! haha That's how you tell if someone is going to get bautisarse.
So I found a stick bug as long as my arm and I taped him in my book of memoriezzzz.
So I'm like the happiest I've ever been in my life, I don't know why I didn't live the gospel so strictly before?? It's harder... but the happiness you receive outweighs everything. Every other kind of happiness is short term, or you're only happy when you're doing those things. The Gospel of Jesus Christ..... is our purpose! The world tries to bombard you with things and tells you how to be happy. While the gospel is so simple even a child can understand it!! The word Gospel means "good news."
In Valparaíso, the people who had the gospel had a light around them. Any other people I met, I looked right in their eyes, and they were missing something. It was so easy to tell.
I could even talk to someone for just 1 minute and I knew if they were a menos activo ( inactive member.)
So my first week here I bought a bag of yogurt and our power went off for 3 days and the fridge was like hot! haha But I still ate that yogurt!!! (like a boss)
I love you all, don't forget about me 'cause when I get back I will feel like I just left for a little while!! haha
