Halloween!!!

Ha! so crazy religious people here wrote this quote everywhere "say no to Halloween, say yes to Jesus" but I kind of like it! I'll support that.  So this Halloween I'm dressin up as a missionary, and imma go knock doors!  So I'm over here in a different country, "trying to convince the world one person at a time.... that coke tastes like dirt". Ha! first I'll tell ya all the funny stuff...

This week we did alot of service. So for Chileans, service is like 5 min of work and then a feast!  So we really just eat. I bought some lotion to put on my stomach cause its expanding so much and I don't wanna get stretch marks!!! hahaha! This week was pretty different because my companion got really sick so I had to go out and work in other areas, and then just sit inside. My companion really likes to pet the stray dogs on the street and then not wash his hands... Somehow I still feel great!
la familia Yavara

So we eat at La familia Yavara´s house every Tuesday! and the guy owns a meat factory. So for our meals, we get like 6 pounds of the sirloin steak!! They don't speak any English. We also cleaned his really nice pool!

So this week we went crazy and ran around inviting everyone to church. We´d be walking and I'd find the scariest guy I could find and go try to invite him. So I love my ward!! It actually functions without missionaries! That's a good sign!

So in church the other day, the bishop told everyone "do not permit your kids to date or to hang out with kids that are not members" ha! cause no one has any kind of standards.  The girls here are raised to be objects. That's why they fall in love with the missionaries cause we give them respect.  We call those girls snakes, haha. But seriously, your kids grow up on how you teach them.

So I love teaching the first vision in Spanish! It sounds so cool, and the spirit comes super fuerte. So I went on splits with my zone leader again, and we did 44 street contacts!!!  So I'm in a really really hard area, but I have to tell myself I'm in a super good baptizing spot or else I'll go crazy...

so make sure you bring an ipod full of church music and piano music when you go on a mission...
