Dominique totally got bautizada! It was a perfect ceremony! Our lider missional did everything! We just attended and loved it! It was amazing!! Then that night we went home and set the date with Angela! She's awesome! She's ready also, we've decided that nothing gets done unless you really push for it. Okay, good news on the new house we're trying to get into! We went on Saturday and cleaned it for 5 hours! I was with a member from Uraguay!
So the gas ran out in our pension and so we had to take cold showers!!
haha We just screamed the whole morning! haha My comp was in the shower
while I was shaving and he would take deep breathes with the water
pointing away from him and then scream and point it at himself for a
split second and then take another breath and repeat! haha It was
terrible!
So we had a really long lesson with the 19 year old we found last week. I had to explain a lot of the
doctrine of the church and he asked so many questions and there are so
many lame rumors about us. It came down to just bearing our
testimonies. My comp, Elder Leavitt, just struggled though it and got
his testimony out and we felt good when we left. I think the guy felt
good, too, cause at the end he wanted to take a picture with us!
So cool story, we planned to teach Angela the word of wisdom and then
dia de reposo (sabbath day) and we finished with word of wisdom and
then I go to find the scripture for dia de reposo and I can't find it
and my mind goes blank, and for a second we didn't know what to do, and
Hermano Egaña was just like uhhh... let's move on and I just couldn't
teach it! So baptism comes to my mind and a scriptutre al tiro! (right
away) and I pull out Juan 3:5 and we just followed the Spirit! I loved
how I was just the servant in that situation!! God wants all his
children to follow him and be baptized and he wants um to do it rapidly,
because Satan, like we know, warps our thoughts and tempts us and he
works 24-7. I've noticed my investigators that read the parts in the
Book of Mormon that I give them, don't really go astray between our
appointments :)
Elder Goodell
last week....
Okay,
so we taught Dominique the law of diezmo and it went super
good, turns out I have a huge testimony of diezmo and we helped her
understand. She told us that
she´s getting baptized si o si, (yes or yes) haha
So YESTERDAY, to make a long story short, we were teaching Dominique and
we finished by watching a Mormon message and it really effected
everyone and almost got me to cry and then I look over and Hermano Egaña
is Totally crying, (it was about slowing down time and being with your
family more) so little did I know, that Angela (the daughter) snuck into the back of the
room and watched the video! Apparently she felt the spirit really
strong and later talked with her dad that night and told him she wants
to get baptized! Little did I know also that the dad was fasting for his
family, and felt impressed to talk to Angela! Sweeeet!!! So Hermano
Egaña calls me in the night and tells me all this! The craziest thing
about it is that she set her own baptism date! THIS WEEK! with
Dominique.
So the other day we were kinda Bajuñado (sad) and had nowhere to go
because we didn't have anymore back up plans and there was no one in the
street, so we prayed and just went out and touched doors with just the
goal to get into a house! I'm serious-the last door we touched before
we had to get going from the area, a 19 yr old kid opens the door and he
was just like hey, I was just investigating your church on the
internet! I have a bunch of questions, come on in. booojah!! Well it
turns out he´s a pastor from the church Adventista! They're like a break
off of our church. We felt the spirit with him!
ALejandro está progresando bien, Saturday he went to the temple! And he
was so excited because I gave him one of my ties and he wore it to the
temple! OH! and we watched him pass the sacrament! He was a natural,
even when they ran out of water and had to make more and then bless it,
he was so relaxed. boss!
So the president told us that our prayers will be transformed as
soon as we understand the meaning of 1 Nephi 7:17.. When Nephi didn't
ask for God to take the cords off, he asked to receive strength that he
could do it.
Oh and the other thing, in ALma 23:7, it says leave your weapons of
rebellion, haha.. this hit me so hard, cause I´ve always had so much
drive and such huge weapons of rebellion. I always wanted to just do
what I wanted and to shove it in my leaders faces, it's true. ELder
Bednar was just like "Repent Now." haha I'm still repenting.
Les invito
que hagan lo mismo les amo
