COOLest week everrr!! We totally baptized Alejandro!

So this Wednesday was so crazy!! So the last 2 weeks all we've eaten for lunch was chicken and rice (boiled chicken) haha.. I have to tell you all about it!! Okay, so we get late to the district class to find that no one's there and we start late, then.. our lunch appointment was so far away, I was like "comp! we have to get in a bus or a taxi!" So, I'm super new to this spot and so I just got into a random bus! haha well, it wasn't that random...I recognized one street...so I was like "let's get on it."  So it takes us to the middle of nowhere and just stops-and we were sittin in there alone and the driver was just like "ummm... i finished my route? are you guys lost?" haha and I was like "NOO!! we're late for lunch!" haha, so we jump out, (the bus driver didn't want to help us) so we just started walking in the direction that I thought was the right direction. So we found a guy, flagged him down and he took us back to where we started and charged me 4 bucks!! and then we were late for lunch, and to top it all off, when we arrived at our lunch appointment, there was a cold plate of chicken and rice waiting for us!! haha!

Halloween was sweet, I sort of dressed up, but my companion went nuts and rubbed shoe shine all over his face! We put a table outside and played liers dice and gave candy to people! haha yipee! There were a few people that came out, not that many people do it here. People say our church contradicts itself because we celebrate Halloween. It's different over here, they have so many things against Halloween.

Okay so I had a huge allergy break out. So apparently I'm allergic to something the momita washes my clothes with. So yesterday I came in the pension and we couldn't even plan because I had a panic attack-and I had to jump in the shower (with my clothes on) to wash my legs! My comp just laughed so hard, haha, I talked to the nurse and everything so I'm fine, Mom, haha don't send me anti-itch cream, I already got a ton!

So I had a sweeet interchange with Elder Marecos! An old friend from the beginning of my mission! He speaks perfect English!  (he learned from playing the game Grand theft auto) We had a funny story. SO we knocked a door and the house was all quiet and we stayed out in the front until a car pulled up and 3 guys get out and they like pulled us aside and they're just like, "hey we're super busy! Just leave" and then as we started leaving, I looked back and one of the guys walks in and we hear ´´SURPRISE!!´´ haha I realized why the house was so quiet! haha but there was a ton of people inside. How embarrassing!!

Well, family I just want you to know that I'm loving the mission! I love my family, I love talking about my family! In fact, last Sunday I taught a class about how families can be together forever, and I got everyone so stoked! And I talked about how if you have rebellious kids-some ways that you could get um to church.. I remember one thing I said was that... if you spent the whole week talking with your kids about cars, music and worldly stuff, and you never talked about the gospel... when Sunday comes around and you're like okay let's all go to church, there's no way they're going to want to go. That's why the gospel is something we live and not do just on Sunday.
I blew minds familia mia!!

Eric is on the back row on the right. This is when Elder Oaks and his wife visited the mission.

So pretty much I love the family Egaña. I love them so much! They're my family away from home!! It's the picture where we are played ninja!  He'll call us and be like "Elders!! I found something you need to read in the Book of Mormon! Read this!"  I told him to read the story of Alma the Younger and he said that was exactly how he felt, and that nothing but the power of God that threatened to destroy him was able to make the HUGE change in his life.

So I spent all the free minutes I have in the night and in the morning listening to Truman G. Madsen and his talks about Joseph Smith. I often find myself walkin and just thinking, how can I just be a teacher and a leader like he was.  I love teaching people, and using quotes that I hear from prophets. Quotes really stick to me if I teach them, wanna hear one?

una familia unida y feliz no es un accedente,

Elder Goodell
