Hans loves ties. Plain and simple- when the opportunity presented itself to share his love of ties with Eric he couldn't pass it up. When Hans was on his mission he and other Elder's would swap ties, so needless to say he had quite the collection to share. Eric was really excited to get all of the 'ugly' ties for his mission. Hans had a name and a story for each one. Mom had to send them because they wouldn't all fit in his luggage he'd already packed!
All you Seinfeld watchers know the reference- but this yellow tie here is goldenboy. The generational mission tie. Hans has been waiting for a long time to be able to pass this tie along. Eric was also pretty excited about it!
